How I Started My Practice

I started my yoga practice at age 15 as a Bollywood dancer in high school and carried it with me through out my college years when I was studying to be a Mechanical Engineer. As a teenager I often practiced yoga to maintain my flexibility as a dancer/performer. In college, I started to experience severe anxiety and depression which led me to practice yoga for my mental health as well as my physical well being. I continue to practice today and I love sharing it by guiding others.

My Yoga Philosophy

Yoga has many benefits to our overall health and there are many different ways to practice. Even though I practice and guide three distinct styles of yoga (restorative, yin, and flow) the commonality I bring to them is ease and softness. In fact this goes beyond the mat. I truly believe that if we set a intention to be good to ourselves during yoga we can set this intention in all other aspects of our life.


Practice With Me

I currently guide yoga in and near Ocean County, NJ. 

I guide workshops which are about 1 1/2 to 2 hours long. These are great way to expand your personal practice. I design my workshops to center around a certain theme that we discuss and learn about and then it is followed by a class. Look for my upcoming workshop descriptions and dates here.

I am planning to create online yoga classes on YouTube. This is a great way to start if you can’t practice at a studio regularly or simply looking to enhance your home practice. Stay tuned! Any requests? Let me know!
